Monaco
Monaco is a sovereign city state, located on the French Riviera in Western Europa. It is bordered by France on three sides; one side borders the Mediterrenean Sea. It has an area of 2.02 km2 and a population of 36,371. So Monaco is the second smallest and the most densely populated country in the world. The highest point in the country is Chemin des Revoires. It is 161 metres above sea level. Monaco's most famous city is Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo has a lot of casino. Monaco is a principality governed under a form of constitutional monarchy. The official language is French but Monegasque, Italian, and English are widely spoken and understood
The state's sovereignty was officially recognized by the Franco-Monegasque Treaty of 1861.Monaco has two small military units. They protect the country. Monaco has a stadium and train station. Transportation is excellent. Monaco has two yacht harbor.

Monako 1215'de bir Cenova kolonisi olarak kuruldu. 1297'de François Grimaldi Monako'yu işgal etti. Ülke o günden bu güne Grimaldi ailesinindir.Fransa Monako'yu 1791-1814 arası işgal etti. Ülkeyi 1943'de İtalya işgal etmiştir.
Monako Akdeniz iklimi etkisindedir. Yazları ılık ve kuru kışları yağışlıdır.Genellikle yazları sıcaklık 20 derecenin altına düşmez.
Monako 2002'den önce kendi para birimi olan Monako frangını kullanıyordu. Şimdi ise euro para birimini kullanıyorlar.Monako bir Avrupa Birliği üyesi değildir.
Monako'daki en kalabalık grup Fransızlardır. Onları Monakolular, İtalyanlar, İngilizler, Belçikalılar, Almanlar ve İsviçreliler takip eder.
Monako'nun ünlü spor kulubü AS Monaco FC'dir.Maçlarını Stade Louis 2'de oynarlar. 2004'de Şampiyonlar Liginde finale yükselmişler ancak Porto'ya kaybetmişlerdir.
